This is the location of the personal web site of Peter & Elaine Ryan.

The original intention of the site was to have a place where news of our family could be published for our extended family and our friends to view.

Since the site was first created much historical and personal information has been added. As a site for the intended readers we consider that it is still a good facility to have. However, times have changed since those early days. Sites such as given by Facebook and Twitter have shown how personal data can be made available and so easily misused.  Google, as a search engine has many desirable features and in the main is greatly valued. However, it has also provided ready access to information published on the web to anyone worldwide to see and to misuse. Identity theft has become an everyday hazard. Elaine and I would not want the availability of personal data pertaining to our family and friends, published on our website, to help in any way at all, those persons who could have malicious intent .

So, we have decided to withdraw the site from general publication.

We shall continue to update the previously published site and make it available to those of our family and friends who wish to see it but it it is now protected. Only those who have been issued with a 'Username' and a 'Password' will have access to the full site.

If you are reading this and previously had access and/or would now like to have access to the full site then please contact Peter who will make the necessary arrangements with you.

We are sorry if this decision causes disappointment or inconvenience to any of you but trust that you will understand our views and agree with our action.
